Collections

Materials in the Cuyahoga County Archives collection were gathered, processed, and cataloged by student researchers from Cleveland State University Department of History, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Souther. Major themes in the collection include transportation, infrastructure development, veterans housing, civil defense, and urban revitalization.

Items in this collection were generously shared by the Western Reserve Historical Society for use in the Constructing, Consuming, and Conserving America project, a Teaching American History workshop series. All items were processed and cataloged by graduate students from the CSU Department of History and public school teachers from throughout Northeast Ohio.

This collection draws pre-1934 cards from an approximately 7,000-item personal collection.

Items in the collection were scanned and posted with permission from the Phyllis Wheatley Association. The collection features photographs taken at Camp Mueller between 1938 and roughly 1980.
