Tremont

The Tremont Oral History Project is a community-based project in which students at Cleveland State University study Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood through the collection and analysis of oral histories. The project represents a collaboration between the department of history at CSU, Tremont West Community Development Corporation, and the Ohio Canal Corridor.

Funding for this project was provided by in-kind contributions from Tremont West Development Corporation, Main Street Tremont, and the Department of History at Cleveland State University. The College of Arts & Sciences at Cleveland State University graciously agreed to donate tapes and other incidental equipment and a grant from the Center for Urban School Collaboration funded the purchase of state-of-the art recording equipment for this project.
